It Hurts Good
The benefits of massage therapy are widely acknowledged. Many people turn to massage as a way to relax, relieve muscle tension, and reduce stress. The medical community is also recognizing massage therapy as an essential aspect of traditional healthcare, using it to treat everything from sports injuries to chronic pain. While the scientific community is still working on understanding the benefits of massage, there is a growing number of studies and trials on the techniques and outcomes of massage therapy.
As a result of this expanding body of research, "evidence-based massage" is becoming a widely used term in the massage industry. It means that the massage therapist uses established research to determine how to work with patients. As an evidence-based massage therapist, I interview each individual, and/or review their medical information to determine their needs, concerns, and desired outcomes. Then, I use a combination of my experience and training along with established research to select the best course of action.
With years of experience in a number of modalities, my goal is to work with you to meet your body's needs.
My mission is to help you heal. I want you to leave your session feeling better, but my priority is your overall health.
