If you're accustomed to scheduling a massage on Fridays, you may have noticed that there's no longer availability for it. This is because Friday is now dedicated to Rapid Neurofascial Reset (RAPID) treatments. RAPID is a unique technique that helps individuals in pain by focusing on the nerves rather than muscle tissue. Unlike traditional massage, RAPID is lotion-free and movement-based, requiring clients to wear clothing similar to what they would wear to the gym.
The goal of RAPID is to reset nerve hypersensitivity back to a neutral state. The high intensity of the technique, combined with active movements, allows the body to reduce pain and reprogram sensory information processed by the brain. This leads to an immediate change in how the body responds to pain. Treatment sessions are shorter, but the results last longer. After a RAPID treatment, movement and return to activity are highly encouraged to reinforce the changes created by the body.
It's important to note that RAPID doesn't physically alter tissues, it simply changes the information from the nerves, making it an effective treatment for a wide range of conditions and contributes greatly to faster healing.
In summary, RAPID targets dysfunctional nerve endings to reduce tissue tension and pain and place the body in a relaxed state.
